The Alternative Cafe brings us their latest selection of four local artists in an exhibition entitled Hallows. The word hallow means "to make holy or sacred" which is evident in Ray Magsalay's shamanistic assemblages, Butch Adams's spirited monsters, Paxton Mobley's dream world, and Devon Ryan's macabre commentary on social ironies. They have also just added a late inclusion by Eric Joyner (Juxtapoz #93) as well. The common thread all these artists share is a perfect fit for an opening reception on Halloween, October 31st, from 6-9pm.
